Enhance business with digital marketing using WSI-Axon

Business owners in Nigeria have been charged to enhance their online presence for better performance and customer participation through digital marketing.



Chief Executive Officer, WSI-Axon West Africa, Mr. Edirin Abamwa made this charge during the company national seminar tagged; “Propel Your Brand, Harnessing Digital Media Strategy: From Prospects to Profit”, held in Lagos, recently.
Said he: With events like this which promotes what digital marketing is all about, we hope that will also help to promote the optic of the technology.

“Many corporate bodies are yet to tap into this evolutional idea principally because they are either not aware of having issues of infrastructure. Few years ago, connectivity was very poor and browsing the web was slow which was not conducive thereby turning off the interest of many.

“When we started, we realized very quickly that the level of awareness of digital marketing was pretty low; people had vague idea of what it is all about. We then thought to stage a major event where people will get to learn what digital marketing is all about. It is something we expect to do annually to help promote awareness of this new age technology in Nigeria and West Africa as a whole,” he stated.

Speaking more on the importance of having business on the web, the WSI-Axon boss said because more people have joined social media platforms which have transformed the way businesses operate, it has become imperative for companies to switch over.

“If the mode of communicating is changing in business, then you have to change the way you communicate as well but if you do not, you will be left behind. Being left behind means your company would not be known, you cannot make the kind of sales you should be making. Basically, the web provides the opportunity for companies to engage with their customers, thereby winning their respect and loyalty over the long term,” he explained.
